Current consoles will be worthless soon?

I my self own a PS4 console and loving it .. BUT Witcher 3 and some new games proved me consoles run them at medium graphic settings... and even though it has (witcher 3) so much lag and frame rate issue ... So I'm concerned is it the end of an era for PS4/Xone soon?

Witcher actually runs on high in regards to textures, shadows, lighting etc. . Just don't expect ultra lol

As I know it's 1080p On PS4, 900p On Xbox One... On Ps4 version I'm sure

The gap between high end PCs and consoles is bigger than its ever been. Its massive. Doesn't mean that the console version you're getting is any less valid... people that spend $1,000+ on high end PCs should probably get the better looking version I'd reckon.

Dayum, I am yet to buy a new console. Still on PS3

The gfx are fine. No point in releasing expensive console and taking risk. 400$ was not bad idea IMO. I guess next gen also will be 400$ console. Not sure 500 or 600 will be successful. It depends on the competition but I am not having too much hope for Nintendo next console TBH.

and if they released a console to equal pc then everyone would cry bloody murder over the price.

expensive consoles would be the death of them, specially with mobile hitting them hard already.

No it wasnt's. They even said it's easier to work with Xobx One cause not OpenGL

I think ManCrush is probably referring to that Eurogamer article where CD Projekt mentioned that the X1 was easier to understand and the PS4 was a bit more complicated. But they stated very clearly that during the course of development PC became the lead platform for Witcher 3.

It's very clear from the product that they delivered that consoles were the lead platform for that game. The interface is designed for consoles, and the engine was scaled back for consoles. I think that's leading the development of the game.

But the lines get blurry. What's the difference between a game developed for PC and then ported to consoles, and a game that's designed for consoles but developed on PC? A whole lot sometimes.

yowza...you was bored by the witcher but continue to play destiny (shallow grind fest) and ESO (know as being a terrible MMO) you cray cray. lol

But Witcher 3 doesn't have a collaboration with Red Bull, Destiny do. ^^

And Witcher 3 didn't hire David Cross and then didn't use a single one of his material in the final game, Destiny did.

Back on Destiny/ESO.

Me too, but put another 30 minutes and YOU WILL BE HOOKED! I'm still learning to evolve my fighting tactics as I still play and I'm about 15-20 hours through. Game feels as fresh as it did 2 hours into the game.

But on topic, PC has always been superior (graphics wise) compared to console. Console owners "we" never bought games for graphics alone. We bought it for the couch/coop experience. I'm still happy with my X1.

What bothers me most of all is that we're starting to get plagued by the "PC" issues of buggy games and constant patching. Consoles games were supposed to be void of that.

well it is their 3rd Christmas this year and they weren't exactly powerful when they launched. i predict a lot of sub 1080p and sub 30fps games coming starting late 2016.
