Check out BF3Stats.com too if you're interested in tracking your progress. You can look at your accuracy per session and stuff like that. Lots of stats and lots of ways to parse them. Great site.

Thing is that my sister plays the game as well so the progression of accuracy and all that changes, can go low since she has more problem controlling the recoil and aim than me lol.
But I will check that site out.

There are always a few people around I can play with, but I'd really like to do some league, ladder or tournament play. Pubbing gets pretty dull after a while even with friends.

I remember when I was 12 or 14 I used to play fun games with my sister like Need For Speed High Stakes or Tarzan...she liked that sort of games but not the shooters

I dont know, she likes online shooters.
I told her to play some action games, even try Mass Effect since its shooting and a RPG but she doesnt like to.
She only plays online shooters, ah well, whatever she finds fun is okay with me I guess.

I for one am happy girls play "violent" games as us guys do, so if they have fun, then good for them.

Not gonna lie, that looks like the sickest piece of MP gameplay I've seen in years. Looks like I've been missing out on BF3, but I don't get as much time for online gaming as I'd like anymore :(

It's fun, albeit imperfect. It's still my favorite FPS from last year and imo one of the most ambitious MP games this generation (PC). Currently hooked on Tribes, but I'll be getting back to BF3 soon.

Thing is Jin, I figure it is not as if it was the pre-patch 1.04 USAS 12 as it is semi auto and the fact that it is semi auto means that other than magazine size its pretty much the same as the M1014 you unlock at rank 22.

Are all shotguns to be considered cheap?

CONTEXT: Used in a game of Metro, Rush, Attacking and post game I have some Colonel Service Star 29 (rank 74) guy send me hate mail over XBL post game.

I mean I laughed it off but it made me try and think, where the frick can I use a shotgun if not in CQB? Unless I load it up with a 12x scope with slug rounds and use it as an impromptu sniper lol...

As for the M26 dart, isn't that just a bug people are exploiting with the heavy barrel?

The M26 is simply glitched. With the G3 Hbar you'll be doing 34 dmg per pellet.

I won't be playing this game before the next patch comes out. To fuck up gunfights with excessive suppression is one thing. To fuck up a weapon so badly that using it is borderline cheating is another. Especially now that everyone is aware of it and even gets used by server admins.

edit: As for the shotguns in general, most people consider them "cheap". That doesn't constitute to overpowered. They just think it doesn't need skill to use totally discounting the fact that it has huge disadvantages (obviously). I'd use an M16 over any other weapon on Metro any day of the week. I'd use an AKS over any other engineer weapon simply because it's extremely versatile.

Please tell me there aren't BF Premium exclusive maps. I plan on buying it already for the early access and discounted DLC.. I'd hate if they split stuff up even more.

I'm really excited for the official announcement.. especially if it means playing CQ soon.

I saw it again and it kinda looked like that Kubra dam?! map from BF2 (The dam map with sunset setting) and the armoured kill pack includes a bunch of new vehicles including what looked like a transport plane, atv and super missile launcher

You can apparently collect the Close Quarters weapons now if you have premium. I'm not biting until I get maps though. I'm not in a hurry to do the assignments.

I played the patch a bit just now. It feels a lot better just knowing that the M26 has been addressed. I haven't actually encountered it yet in this version. Suppression seems to have met a reasonable compromise, I still wish it came with a smaller penalty. But this works. So far, so good.

I think I'll play a bit more before I plug back into D3.

Edit: Changed my mind. Why wait when I'm certain I want it anyway.
