Personally I am really looking forward to this amazing game.

I will try and keep the info stuff updated. So things can be changed/added/removed.
Feel free to add your own findings in your posts, which I can add to mine. Also feel free to correct me/us on anything RE6-related, posted here.

||STORY||
========

It has been ten (*and some) years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member, Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.

*An important fact is that Resident Evil 6 is confirmed to indeed be a sequel, set in 2013. However, the description still mistakenly reads as "10 years after the Raccoon City incident".
(Also in Japanese it says '10 and some years, so the English translation is not correct' - credits go to "cvxfreak" @neogaf-forum for providing the info/translation. Keep up the good work ;)

For the first time in Resident Evil history, Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield will both be playable characters in Capcom's ambitious six main entry in its survival horror series. Sources within the development team have started to give IGN a broad picture of the game's scope, which certainly seems larger than any Resident Evil title we've seen so far. This news comes on the heels of the leaked logo and release date for the game.

Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy will not be alone in this new game. Both Chris and Leon will have unnamed partners of their own, teaming up in similar fashion to the Chris Redfield/Jessica Sherawat and Jill Valentine/Parker Luciani pairings in Resident Evil Revelations. Sources tell us Chris and Leon will have seperate stories in the game that will eventually overlap in some capacity.

We're also told Ada Wong will have a playable role in the game, though not immediately. It appears as though the Ada storyline will become available to players after the Chris and Leon arcs have been completed, plus a third primary narrative featuring a new character. Any of the three main story branches will be selectable early on in the game, allowing players to see each storyline through to completion before starting another one.

Resident Evil 6 is also set to take place across the globe, including China, which has been an often-rumored location for months. VentureBeat reports the RE6 development team is the "same internal Japanese team that has worked on previous entries." That same report suggests this game is being styled after both Resident Evil 4 and 5, attempting to find a middle ground between horror and action.

The game has already been in development for around two years and has the largest staff count in the series' history, with over 600 people involved in the project.

I noticed a rather interesting shot at 00:27 in the trailer. It's some letters visible. "PRES" and under that, "ADAM". I can only assume that this has something to do with the president, like "President Adamson or something.

I wonder who the woman that Leon teams up with is. It can't be Ashley Graham from RE4 could it? I see very little resemblance.

Good question indeed. Im hoping its not Ashley...though..seeing the president in the trailer explaining his friendship to Leon, means we are bound to see his daughter Ashley.

How is it that you see little resemblance but immediately thought it might be her? That was my first guess too :D But I haven't even played RE4 (or 5, or 1-3) so what do I know. This is one of those franchises where I've managed to watch nearly all of it, because throughout the series there's always been someone around me playing it.

Neat trailer. Looks like it could be a nice game.

I kind of thought of her when I saw the President, since Ashley is the president's daughter, Leon was her bodyguard in RE4 so it would kind of make sense for him to still be around her. Then again it would be more likely that she would be secured somewhere, guarded by the secret service, given the state the world seems to be in.

And regarding her resemblance, well Capcom seems to like to redesign their characters in each game. Jill Valentine being the best example who changed a lot from RE3 to RE5. So it could be possible that Ashley decided to toughen up, color her hair and learn to shoot during the events of RE4 and this.

Come to think of it. According to the intro in RE4. RE4 takes place 6 years after the Raccoon City Incident. And GrayFox posted that RE6 takes place 10 years after the Raccoon City Incident. Which means a whole 4 years have passed since RE4.

People can change a lot in 4 years.

I love that the gameplay is more actiony and less of tank controls and stop-shoot mechanic.
Move and shoot/reload is in this game, well from what I saw when they showed Leon gameplay.

I am getting it, thanks Capcom!

Awesome trailer, great music, very nice atmosphere just awesome overal.

Im really afraid they are not going to add Jill into this one, because of her lead role in Revelations.

Perhaps they thought that 2 much Jill would be a bad thing?

When I first saw that brunette I reaaaally hoped "CLAIRE"...but yeah..still not clear who she is.
Then I saw that blonde girl and I heard her voice and I was like "ASHLEY!" ..but yeah..still not clear she is either :P

Im just so excited...so many questions...and so far I loved EVERTHING I saw.

The gameplay has been giving a major overhaul..which to me is a very good thing too.

We NEED more info asap!!

Well good thing Chris is back, I hope they bring BSAA outfit :)

Yeah gameplay is overhauled which is a great thing, finally we get Dead Space gunplay! Though sliding...lol. Cover mechanic is nice, I like it.
Though the sprint, I hate it when you sprint the camera gets low to their feet, hence why i hate the living crap out of the Gears of War sprint animation. They crouch when sprinting and the camera is practically up their butt lol

Ah well, overal its great, definitely hyped for this time.
I wonder if real-time inventory menu is back, not a big fan of that.
