Mine isn't I hope it isn't anything like Max Payne, from what I have seen it doesn't look like it is anyway.

Plus the setting is much more interesting IMO.

There was a lot of interest in Alan Wake well before it was deemed an Xbox exclusive. People took notice because it's Remedy's first game since Max Payne 2, which was a fine, fine game.

I'm basing that more on the pedigree of Max Payne rather than the story, setting or gameplay.

Yeah, I don't suspect it will be much like Max Payne at all. I do want Max Payne 3, and I do wish Remedy would do the game.. but hey, you can't have everything. With the movie coming out, I'm almost certain we'll see a new Max Payne sooner than later, I'm just afraid it won't be quite the same with a new developer.

Markus Maki, Director of Development at Remedy Games, recently posted squashing this rumour stating:

“The Microsoft Vista promotion referring to TGS took place in 2007, and is old news - we’ve had the winner over for taking the pictures already.

Sorry for the confusion and possible disappointment, but this was not an annoucement that Wake would be shown at TGS 2008. Remedy’s team is just getting back from a bit of holiday and we haven’t had time to chat with Microsoft on upcoming shows/showings yet.”

I can safely say that Remedy is hard at work on Alan Wake and when they are ready to show information you’ll see it here. The game is not cancelled or abandonware.

Yeah theres allot of games that have shown very little, lets hope its gets some airtime this year.
