Mirror's Edge, that game that's all about first-first person action featuring the lovely main character Faith, will be hitting retailers this Fall and if you're willing to complete a pre-order, you can score some free runner bag swag.

GameStop is running (ha! running!) an exclusive pre-order promotion where all Mirror's Edge pre-orders will receive an exact replica of Faith's runner bag as seen in the game. The runner bag (pictured above), is a stylish banana yellow color, with seven different compartments and enough room to store and carry your Xbox 360 console. Just image how cool you'll look running down the streets, shopping at the mall, carrying your books to school or entering a business meeting with this Mirror's Edge bag. Just imagine!

OMG. Get one, and you'll be the coolest person ever. :D lol Joking aside, if you have an asian girlfriend, you should dress her up as Faith. >_> A little bit of role playing.

Unless they are using some kinda weird filter on the image then my guess is that yeah, it is art.

Yeah the second one is concept art as far as I can tell. First one isn't though.

The art design is just, wow.

Produce Interview

Looks amazing; I really hope this sort of tech makes it way into an online shooter proper for a "play your own way" creative open world game.

There's quite a few things that I would have to see more to get really excited about this game. What is the level of freedom for example? We really don't know--we know it's not total freedom and it is level-based. We know there is a million of CLOSED doors and paths, and I don't know how you can say something is a puzzle when everything will turn red and basically point you in the right direction.

Combat and AI I would like to see lots more, specially how many times they can shoot you in the face before dying.

Lots of things, but it does look really good and very different, and it comes from a quality team, DICE.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they had an option to turn the red "hint" stuff off for a more challenging play-through.

What you talk about isn't AI thats level of realism, most games have it so a head shot = death, but if we are talking about realism if you get shot the chances of death is your guna die.

People are always saying get better AI but the thing is, if you have 10 people against 1, the chances of one of those people shooting you is high you start addding realism to that and the chances of death would be extremely high.

I don't think its possible to have great AI and realism otherwise players would get nowhere.

Either have one of the other, the realism approach would only really work in an enviroment with lots of cover or a stealth type game.

Then you can go the other way and have amazing AI x 10 people with just you against them = death again, and then not ever person will have the same skill, so it becomes hard work for developers, if you start adding different difficultly levels you increase the work load not only for the development team but the CPU aswell, so you then you have to start cutting features.

I do think AI is important but its not the be all and end all of a game experience for me, I can still enjoy a game with shitty AI as long as the gameplay has other redeeming qualities, such as this game, platform action and puzzle solving.

Anyways I think the game is looking great its about stime FP games started using spatial reality where you can see your body and have a sense that you actually have a body and not just a pair of arms and a weapon.

They've already mentioned that it is an option.

That whole post made me go "WTF!?"

Combat and AI I would like to see lots more, specially how many times they can shoot you in the face before dying.

How you got to CPU utilization and realism from there I have no idea.
