Fable 2 will keep me busy till this is out, then this till diablo 3 is out, OMGGGG, if fable 2 was on PC i would sell my 360, JUST KIDDING.
I think it's pretty reasonable to expect Fable 2 on PC at some point. I won't assume it's a sure bet, but Fable is out there, so why not Fable 2? Best version, too :P

It looked really good, I'm super impressed actually, coming out early 2009 :D

I like how you have so much control over the view point.

Yeah, it looked really cool and I was surprised that they actually showed some gameplay! Not really surprised that it's going to come out in early 2009, because you can just see them starting to market the game more and more recently.

I like the direction they're taking. The fact that you essentially control a squad of 4 or so is very cool indeed. Like you said Jolli, the fact that you can choose to play it with the Baldur's Gate view or close up is very pleasing.

Overall, I was impressed.

Yeah, I like the two alternative views, I can see using both. The Witcher gives you simular options, but in that game I found it best to just keep it isometric the entire time.

The "squad" controls are hardly surprising, since every Bioware RPG I can think of (even Mass Effect) has a party system. One thing I think is cool/interesting about parties in Dragon Age, is that there are basically no mandatory party members (I think they said there might be one), and there's a variety of NPC's to recruit.. potentially making everyones party different. It should be fun to see how all of those different NPC's interact and get along with one another too.

I'm not really wowed by any of this, just because my expectations were already excessively high. I'm pleased though, and I can't wait to play it. I'm glad it's coming out early 2009, since many people had hoped that it would ship this year.

There was some good parties to do in Baldurs Gate games. Picking the the evil and good dudes at the same party was awesome. I laughed quite much for them arguing (some even killed other members? not sure about that anymore). Great stuff.

That's the typical FPS trifecta, but if you look at the release list over the next 12-18 months, it extends well beyond that cliche. Granted, those are the most popular, and mostly densely packed genres on the platform.

i love the way you dont have to have the top down Diablo type view, whilst watching the demo the guy playing was constantly bringing up that point, and kept playing in a 3rd person action view.

I can see myself using both in this game.. over the shoulder while exploring, and isometric when in group combat. The isometric view probably helps a good deal in planning out your parties actions, since it gives you a broader view of the field.

I was just saying the same thing to Isomac on Xfire. It looks like the game uses both views successfully. The Witcher gives you the option to play from either as well, but I found myself just sticking to the isometric view in the demo.. of course that could have also been because the game played a lot smoother zoomed out :)

Hmm really though story choices? Sounds good I like the situations when you have to choose and none of the options are really good. Those make the most memorable moments in the games. I hope this really has some of that.

The game is shaping up very well, and I like the option of a stop-start combat system.

coming to consoles late 2009, cool guess i will wait for that version then :)
"Yes. Dragon Age: Origins will be coming to consoles in the near future, yes," Dan Tudge, director and executive producer for the game, told Eurogamer.

Tudge hinted that console versions of Origins will arrive in late 2009, after the PC release - which BioWare is confident will be early next year.

Good thing is that it comes for PC first so I hope console version won't ruin anything from this game. At least videos showed good UI and all. I hope next games are PC first too.

I don't mind it coming to consoles. I am just worried how it affects to PC version.

Yep, i dont mind coming to consoles too, all good.

And from what we saw (the gameplay video) it wont affect PC version, since it seems to be made for PC first, then consoles second. Personally its the best way to do it, than the other way around.

Looking forward to see more info of the game from Leipzig :)

Yup. I wouldn't worry much about the end effect. This isn't going to pull an Oblivion on us--not that TES isn't still better on the PC. The UI, world tools, and overall presentation on the PC for Dragon Age should be up to Bioware's typical standards. I'm still as excited as ever. We've known this was coming since E3, anyhow.
