You sure that it will support 360 controller? They said it's heavily designed for mouse in that video.

Hmmmmm. 'Cos my very very very very old and crappy computer could play Diablo 1 and 2, so it looks as though maybe I don't have to get an ultra expensive laptop in order to play this?
Not ultra expensive but you will need something a bit more modern I reckon.

Yeah but these are probably max settings for graphics so lowering settings could make it to play nicely.

Aaaah, that's good. You see i'm getting a laptop in about 4 months and it is essential that the laptop I get can play this game.

Will a laptop costing around £700-£800 be able to play this game d'ya think, or hopefully one even cheaper? I know that you can only guess because the specs haven't been announced yet, but some sort of help would be appreciated.

Oh yeah and I got rid of that old, crappy computer time ago btw. ;)

Yea the CGI is good but I have seen better.
Both technically and artistically, Blizzard's CG is pretty outstanding. It's easy to see how some might think that it exceeds Squaresoft's work.

I'm sure it's possible to play Diablo with a gamepad, as there was a PSX port of the game, after all. But it's a bit like playing any game that's designed with a mouse interface in mind--it's a waste of time--or just clunky, mechanical, and far less intuitive. Plus last time I checked you can't stream Windows game video to the 360.

Go play the PSX version of D1, and see if it's as easy to play as the PC version. It aint. Diablo relies on hot keys and the ability to easily pinpoint an area on the screen quickly with the mouse. It's more feasable than playing something like The Witcher with a gamepad though.. or.. C&C3 for that matter, and that's already a reality.

Still, I don't suspect it will have native gamepad support.. just like Starcraft 2 won't either.

So anyway I tried the D2 demo and the colour is all weird, 8 bit im guessing and my GPU doesn't like it, how do I correct it :S
Yup, I am dead serious. Just go look at the World of Warcraft CG, I think it's miles better than Any of the stuff I have seen in the final Fantasy series.

Thats too bad, they have a good opertunity here for a 360/PS3 version.

Diablo II was much more fast paced and had many things that original didn't have. I just can't think that DII would be good to play with controller. Diablo III is probably the same. Lots of hotkeys for skills and potions. Also how would you use sorcerers magic?

Hmmmm. According to the devs the game is "far too early in development to announce a release date". He also said that the game has currently been in development for 4 years.

When should we be expecting this then? And someone answer my question above! Please. :)

Everything is a guess at this point.. but there's no release date for SC2 yet either, and I suspect we'll see it sooner rather than later. People who think SC2 won't be here til '10, wrong! We'll see it in the first half of '09 if we're lucky, and D3... well... too hard to even guess.

Controller it si then.

And Grift the are a number of ways to stream the video output to your HD TV i do it the easiest way and use a simple dvi/vga cable (of course you have to have a vga port on your tv) and Crysis never looked so good :)

im disappointed that its still the same up top angle, i was hoping for something more like Fable. I guess they didnt want a horde of angry fans with torches at their doorstep. Still looks cool tho.

i wonder if the dugeons will still be randomly generated every time u play...

No no no the gameplay doesn't fit to that camera angle. Isometric view FTW!

Stream? If you are simply connecting your PC to a HDTV, then it is basically a monitor. As far as I'm aware there is no streaming necessary. I'm really curious why you would choose to play a game like this with a pad.

Yeah they zoom it I think. I haven't seen it all yet. Still waiting for my HD video to start loading.

Still the only view to play is from that isometric. I just couldn't think how would you play from that close not seeing behind. Also some skills would be really hard to use.

Yes true. Part of what makes Diablo so special is that there aren't many games that have that isometric view and execute it so perfectly. As far as i'm concerned, there's only one way to play a Diablo game.

... Right that's it, i'm going to play Diablo 2. :D
