Not at all! shadee was everything that was wrong with POP Warrior Within ... it was this sort of cliche dark character that was FORCED into the game just as the dark art direction was forced into that game as a whole. it felt, like the rock music OUT OF PLACE.

Now in Ninja gaiden, it's fine .. the game has always had a dark art direction but I still feel that Alexia looks a bit Generic just like Sonia for that matter. Team Ninja needs to change their art ASAP! it's getting quite ridiculous now.

Again, I CRITICIZE games I LIKE!!!!!!!!!

I can 150% tell guarentee that Itagaki wont come to Gamersyde to listen to this.

In terms of design and all that do you honestly think that Itagaki listens to anyone about how he wants his art design to look?
Hell no.

How many times have us fans said, get rid of that anime doll looking art design in DOA, did he listen? no.

All I can say is, it is better to accept what the devs do with the art and go with it if you can handle it.
If not, then you got a problem not accepting them and you have then another problem liking a game you are interested in.

I for one like pretty much everything of the overal game, looks too good for me to pass on that.

Ninja Gaiden 2 looks awesome, it is like the previous one that I liked, with slight changes.
I am glad Itagaki got rid of Rachel because she looked like a stripper if anything.
I am not fond of Sonia because she looks like Rachel with a haircut :S

Alexia however is great, kind of wish that she was the "good" one and Sonia the bad one.

But you do as you wish, but like I said, you better accept Alexia if you want to play this game because she will probably be in alot of cutscenes (thank god :D).

For Joe Hayabusa though...I MIGHT have a problem of how he looks, I just imagine him to look like a old grey haired guy that looks young for his age, kind of like Baek in Tekken 5.

But that is when ACE decides to show us images of him.

He might not get rid of the doll look for the DOA girls, but he does listen to his fans regarding what new techniques and technology to use for his graphics. He once stated that if new games uses this and that technique, why should he use it considering it's not the new techniques that will create a great looking game. Looks like he sort of turn around on that comment and now uses normal maps, real time lighting, HDR, self-shadows, and other mapping techniques for NG2 when fans from the big DOA sites were asking for it.

Well I don't remember how many times, but I know it was alot that fans kept saying that he should change the art design but he never did.

If so, I desperetly want to see him as well, he says he looks like Evil Ryu from NG Black style.

People have been hoping that Itagaki would change his art direction since DOAX2 and he kind of hinted that they were going to change it.

From what I have seen there has been little change at all, besides the graphical effects, the art style remains the same.

I can understand why people may get bored with the look of TN games as they all look the same only in HD.

I still think the game looks good, but as I have said before I think TN have lost the edge they once had.

That aside I think the game will be great for fans of the series :D

When Itagaki said they were ognna change the art and mood of NG2 I thought yes, maybe they will go all anime on us, like Ghost in the Shell or Appleseed, all futuristic look, no more ninja vs ninja or anything, more like ninja vs cyborgs and fiends...etc.

That or more dark like Onimusha 3 intro, that was just awesome, but nope, he still went with what he did with NG.

The only thing he changed in terms of levels are that they are "reality" based like Tokyo, New York, Paris...etc.

Sure the gameplay is there and it is faster and more brutal than ever, but he could do something about the artwork, change it around a bit.

I am sick and tired of fighting ninjas again, let alone Spider Clan :S

Give me cyborgs, heavy armored ground troopers...etc.

He used them in DOA4 endings for both Hayate and Ryu, why didnt he go with that type for NG2 is something I don't understand.

If I worked with Itagaki I would force him to use this type of artstyle for NG titles.
Itagaki is alreayd using the anime look, why not go all out anime style cyberpunk looking environment as well, it fits and it works perfectly.
Besides, he already used it, but only in CG.

Either that, or he should make a Hayate action/adventure game like NG and go with this type of style, would be great.

Exactly jolli, he did indeed hint at a change of Art in one of his upcoming games and I was hoping that ninga gaiden 2 was THE game but oh well.

Anyway, gameplay wise, I am 100% confident that there is nothing to fear and the game will live up to my expectations.

I wish they would just take a bold move like the guys doing the cell shaded prince of persia. You guys think they may surprise with the next DOA or that RPG game thety still havent talke about ?

Haha Genshin is Darth Vader of Ninja Gaiden, by that describtion.

But I do know this, Itagaki said that the main villain of NG2 is gonna be looking as bad ass as Ryu, kind of like dark Ryu you met in NG Black from now and then.

Hearing that makes me drool, he was fast, brutal and awesome!
