i love tombraider games

lara looks alot more like a real women now in these pics

to be honest i hope theres very little combat, and NO motabike driving, that was rubbish in legend.

i hope they focus on atmosphere, story telling, and exploration
i wouldnt even miss not having any combat at all!!!

After the ending of Tomb Raider Legend (which I thought was one of the best acted endings in a video game), I really cant wait to see what's happening with that Avalon myth.

Ah well I dont have Tomb Raider Legend, ah well.
I believe it's getting released at retail as well, eventually. At least that was the plan.

Very nice shots, cool graphics. Maybe a little bit touched up graphics since Legend?
A *little*? That looks way better than Legend. Hell, Anniversary looks better than Legend.

Well that date has come and gone.. but I haven't seen said retail version. But on the other hand, I haven't been looking either. It's a great game anyway. I played it on the PC (ya know--where we have no variety of games to play) and enjoyed it very much.

Anniversary definitely doesn't look better than Legend. It's based off the PC version that was quite significantly inferior to the 360 version of Legend (PC Legend was, too). The framerate is a lot more stable for sure, but the lighting and effects are all much flatter, giving it a plainer look overall.

Which is really too bad because Legend looked great on the 360 apart from the framerate issues. :/

On the other hand, this still looks like a rather significant step up from Legend in turn, that I fully agree with.

Yeah, The ghana level was Jaw droppingly good but like you said the framerate took the hit. Hopefully now with the focus on 360/PS3/PC and the game not being a port from the PS2 version like Legend. it should be quite nice! All they have to do is take their sweet time with the game. I dont want another Angel of Darkness disaster. If the game cant be released in 2008 then push it to 2009, I dont care, as long as the end product is a top experience.

I disagree sorta--but you're totally right. Yes the lighting model was downgraded from Legend, but in other areas, Anniversary is a better looking game.. making ultimately.. better looking. Better models, better looking environments, etc. But yea, the downgraded (no HDR) light model is a bit of a bummer. Personally I think it makes up for in style what it lacks in technology.

The lighting in the 360 version definitely does make it look pretty awesome though, but I prefer Lara's model and animations in Anniversary, and the increased image quality on the PC was just the icing on the cake. Plus it's a better game, which definitely doesn't hurt.

PC version is great
I played both PC and PS2 versions. and love them, also I played Xbox360 version and it looks like cheep ps2 port and run slow.

1 week ago I played Wii version in Russian publisher office
Wii version is absolutely shit. It is not possible to control Lara, I maintained this shit to the middle of the first level and it went to play awesome No more Heroes game

I really wanna play Anniversary so I think I might just buy a cheap copy of Legend and download it. I really enjoyed Legend even though it was a bit short and corny as hell.

Yea.. that's definitely clean versus dirty. They used the same effect in Legend/Anniversary.

did they? i never noticed that. i noticed that she got wet (again, not like that) if you went in water darkening all her clothes and making her skin shiney, didnt notice she got dirty tho.

Yea, she got dirty.. in Anniversary at least. I thought she did in Legend as well but it's been a bit longer since I've played that so I don't really remember. Dirty, wet girl.. yeah.. not like that ;)

The Lara model is much better in this by the looks of it, the anniversary/legend model was pretty poor if you ask me.
