Secondly, where is Arnie? You can't have a Terminator film without Arnie, surely... although, Christian Bale is an amazing actor in my opinion.

Bale will definitely be a great John Connor, it's just unfortunate that he has to play him in a pg 13 sequel that shouldn't be made.

hmmm, not quite the direction i was expecting. It's got Bale and he's pretty picky what he acts in so it should be good, but i was hoping it would be more like the intro to T2, with the Hunter Killers everywhere......still its just a teaser, we'll see.

I'll watch it, but uh, same writers as T3.. just keep that in mind.

Somehow, I manage to force myself into watching some of the shittiest spin offs known to man though. I made it through the first season of The Sarah Conner Chronicles, which is pretty terrible. I'm shocked FOX is actually bringing it back.. and yet.. I'll probably watch Season 2 too.

Everything post T2 is a (bad) joke.

T3 suffered the X-Files Mulder syndrome though. Writing Arnie into it *just because* subsequently lead to it being more of an homage to the previous films than anything else.

Of course it's hollywood, and people would never have stopped squealing if they dared NOT make it a sequel to the cast list rather than the films, but I think it would've worked in its favour.

I'll play the devil's advocate here and say this has far more potential than Terminator 3 had simply because it's a new angle alltogether.

Oh and PG-13 doesn't really have to mean much. You can do violence well without gore, and ultimately the real deal breaker would be a lack of compelling story. Bale has enough influence to avoid films that are bad on a script level, so I doubt it's completely without merit.

Then again, there's Reign of Fire and Harsh Times. Oh well.

the teaser owns simply because it has Bale and the brief Terminator theme. Other than that, don't really know what the expect. Same people from T3 if I'm not mistaken? So yeah, up in the air.
