looks alright, I just dont like the co op for crap AI by having "infected" people and that big boss battle being all scripted kills the appeal of that bit for me.

its a pretty damn nice looking game. textures arnt amazing but as a whole im liking the look of it.

textures are very sharp, but i'll probably go with the bullshot scenario... we all know how ratchet games were from screens to in-game.

the same? i saw no difference between what was on my scree to what they showed. the game just looked very nice, had a bollock load of AA too.

no, im really not. i played it just recently. it looks just as good as the original in-game screens. nice and smooth. but then the game doesnt exactly throw around super high res textures or have HDRI lighting so its not exactly shocking that it looks that smooth.

I wonder when we really will see as much AA as in this screens in-game *sigh* might still be some years from now. Well, still the game does have some AA and moving it absolutely looks sharp enough.

Looks sweet. Starting to get that CPU down some. Should see most PS3"if not ported" look this way next year. And by 010 look like this, and have pure Frame Rate. The cool things left this gen, is seeing how far this machine can be pushed still. I dont think the'll ever peak it thow. But it will just keep getting pushed further and further. At a much faster rate then the others. But thats what gaming is about. Seeing how high up each can go. And then trying to go higher yourself. Unless your bill, then its about suppressing everything so you dont have to jump lol.

No offense to Resistance 2, I'm really digging the game so far. But in no way is this pushing the enveloppe on the PS3, nor would it on the 360.

Technically and graphically this game doesn't look all that special. There are so many other games out there that are so much more impressive. It's really beyond me how people talk about this game as if it's the pinacle of gaming or something.

I'm sorry; for anyone who say R2 Ripped-off the Brumak from Gears, don't even try it. The Brumak ripped off the Titan from Resistance, and the Leviathan is 300 ft tall, the Brumak isn't even 150; it's about the same size as the Titan, plus Gears didn't even have it in Gears 1 for the 360, it was just animation until the PC version came out.

Then in Gears 2, you can ride them, just like you can ride the cyclops from god of War II

... funny you can come to that conclusion, but can't see how Gears stole all of the gameplay from Kill.Switch.

...hilarious. Why? Because everyone knows and excepts (including Epic) that Gears of War borrows elements from Kill.Switch. Why else? Because everyone also knows and excepts that Gears adds a ton of gameplay to the equation, and does it much, much better. Go play Kill.Switch again, it's mediocre at best, and if you really think that all of Gears' gameplay comes from KS, you're missing quite a bit.

Also: Gears of War came out a week before RFOM, I don't think they "ripped off" the Titan from Resistance. I don't get these comparisons at all, though. These games aren't even in the same genre, so why are we comparing apples to oranges again? RFOM2 looks pretty good--why does it need to be the Gears of War killer for some fans?

These fanboy-driven arguments coming from both sides of the fence are funny, and stupid. Lets talk about RFOM2, and not why it is or isn't better than Gears of War. That's a dangerous path to travel. The bias showing in this (and other) threads is ugly.

I really enjoyed the first RFOM, although I was critical of a lot of its failings. It was entirely too oldschool in some aspects of its design, but I think Insomniac learned a lot from that experience, so I really expect this game to be a lot better.
